For the inaugural vintage of the Panek Family Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 growing season provided a wealth of riches. This wine showcases the signature traits of the Panek vineyard: rich, textural fruit depth, finely grained tannin, all complemented by a pleasing uplift on the finish. An ideal mix of fine loamy soil interspersed with gravelly river rock set the stage for intriguing wines every vintage.
Deep color in the glass, showing off a purple-black core with a dark violet rim. Layered aromatic notes suggest blackberry reduction, melted baker’s chocolate, lavender and pine bough. The palate expresses densely packed notes of cocoa nib, cassis, plum compote, and cedar. These decadent notes are framed by a medium tannin structure and complimentary acidity that will allow this wine to age well for nearly a decade. An impressive first vintage with much promise for the future.

Sauvignon Blanc
Precise, vivacious, nuanced, and bright are what describe this very complete wine. Throughout the trajectory, there are equal parts white stone fruit, dry grass, white flowers, and an expressive, balanced acidity and minerality. In the glass the wine exhibits a pale-yellow gold hue. Aromas suggest green mango, lychee, jasmine, and kaffir lime. The dynamic palate experience dazzles with notes of grapefruit oil, purple lilac, crushed river rock, and lemon zest. The extended mouth-watering finish lingers pleasantly for almost a minute with trailing floral and white fruit notes.
